Our Ministries
Southwide Academy
Our Kindergarten through 12th grade school ministry is devoted to reaching the spiritual and academic needs of children. Our enrollment is not limited to church membership but we do require a criteria for acceptance that is based on past moral and social behavior. We require church membership and devotion to the Lord from our entire school staff. For more information click here.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School program is devoted to the instruction of God's Word at an age appropriate level. We offer classes from "babies" to adults. Each class is geared specifically toward the needs of the people being taught, but our emphasis is always placed on the Bible. For pictures click here.
Nursery
Our nursery is offered to children up to 4 years old. It is available during all worship services and is always sufficiently staffed by faithful church members that are proven in the Lord and trusted by the leadership of the church. A large viewing window at the front of the nursery allows for a more candid and safe environment.
Visitation
Our collective soul winning efforts take place on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. We attempt to answer God's great commission through door-to-door outreach, tract distribution, and door hangers. We also attempt to visit those who have attended our services and would like further contact from our ministry.
Park PALS
We meet once a month in order to take our children to a local park on Saturday mornings This ministry not only involves a time of fun and recreation for our children, but also includes the opportunity for our kids to reach out to other children with an invitation to play games and the distribution of Gospel tracts. A Bible story time helps to solidify the Gospel message. We attempt to teach our kids the importance of reaching others for Christ during this special time at area parks. Pictures
Secret Prayer Sisters
The ladies of our church meet monthly for a time of fellowship and prayer as they share burdens and seek the Lord together. Those who are members exchange "secret" names and vow to pray for one another throughout the coming month. Many of our ladies bring small gifts to church throughout the month to remind their secret prayer sister that they are faithfully remembering them before the Lord. Our ladies draw closer to one another spiritually and socially as a result of this special ministry.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
Our men get together once a month on Saturday mornings to share in a time of fellowship and prayer. Their focus in prayer involves personal needs as well as the needs of our church and its leadership. Some one always volunteers to cook or buy, depending on talent and ability.
Youth Choir
Our children meet weekly, usually on a Sunday afternoon, in order to practice various musical skills. They share their music in our worship services, and we sometimes hold "Youth Nights" as our kids take part in every aspect of the service. We believe that young people should learn that it is never too early to serve the Lord. Pictures
We attempt to hold special events and meetings as the Lord directs. We also hold special events and activities for our children. It is our belief that God's people should have every opportunity available to worship and serve Him. Every ministry of our church is established with the intention of glorifying Jesus Christ in purpose and method.
